Doing the washing isn’t too bad a household chore – but the drying of it can be a real nuisance, especially with the amount of rain we receive!  Isn’t it awful having your laundry draped over the radiators in your house for all to see?  Well if you were to consider a tumble dryer, then this really could be the answer to all your prayers. 

Condenser tumble dryers have a very distinct advantage over other dryers in that they do not need to be plumbed in, and so therefore they can go virtually in any room of your home.   All you require is an electrical socket, a means of ventilation and you are quite literally ready to go. 

Condenser tumble dryers also require very little maintenance; basically your condenser tumble dryer will give you years of good service if, at the end of each load, you simply empty the lint tray and the water. 

Condenser tumble dryers usually have various temperature settings, and nowadays they even have special settings for delicate garments and wool, and whereas in the olden days tumble dryers were quite noisy beasts, in modern times the tumble dryer is a much quieter animal. 

The Hotpoint TCM580G offers an 8kg capacity with two settings, and has the benefit of a reverse tumble action to speed up the drying process.  Another good feature of this particular machine is that it has a final cool tumble, which minimises creasing.   If you do not particularly enjoy ironing, and let’s face it who does, then choosing a condenser tumble dryer with a final cool tumble or ironing programme is a must.  In actual fact if you take your clothes out of the tumble dryer immediately the cycle finishes, and hang your garments on coat hangers, then you may even find that you can banish your iron forever!
