Electric Cookers If you are in the market for an electric cooker, than you have most certainly come to the right place. At Ultimate Appliances we have a wide selection of electric cookers, and there is bound to be one that meets your cooking requirements and, perhaps equally as importantly, your budgetary requirements too! The kitchen is the heart of many a home, and what could be nicer than the smell of freshly baked scones drifting from your electric cooker, filling your kitchen with mouth-watering aromas. Electric cookers are available having either a single oven or a double oven – and basically the choice is yours to make. Naturally electric cookers with double ovens give you more scope when cooking for a larger family or when you are entertaining guests. That said, many people with smaller families still prefer to opt for an electric cooker with a double oven and they simply use the larger oven (usually the bottom oven) for their general cooking and the top, smaller oven as a plate warming facility, or even as a food warming facility to help when serving up the dishes. Another choice to consider is whether you want a fan assisted electric cooker or a conventional oven, the latter being ideally suited to dishes such as roasts - the different temperature zones allow you to cook meat on the middle shelf, crispen up roast potatoes on the top shelf and cook a pudding at the bottom; the heat being distributed in a natural temperature gradient, resulting in a higher temperature in the top of the oven, getting cooler toward the bottom. Most twin cavity electric cookers will have at least one fan assisted oven. Fan ovens are a great asset to home cooking, and especially suited to tasks like batch baking due to the heat being constant and even throughout the oven cavity thanks to the fan located at the back of the oven. Because of the method of heat distribution - an electric element surround a fan at the rear of the oven – fan ovens will reach temperature a lot quicker than conventional ovens saving both time and energy costs. |
